The HR assistant reports to the Head of Human Resources.
Job description
The Human Resources (HR) department consists of a team of three employees and a Team Manager.
The department provides comprehensive human resources management services, including personnel administration, payroll management, training coordination and recruitment. It also leads and contributes to projects aimed at the continuous improvement of human resources practices.
Main duties and responsibilities
Recruitment
- Based on recruitment requests, you contribute to defining the job offer in terms of the skills and profile sought.
- You create, publish and manage job vacancies.
- You conduct the pre-screening and meet with candidates, administering recruitment tests.
- You forward applications to team leaders and ensure that you provide them with quality feedback.
- Upon request, you will participate in the interview stages.
- You are responsible for welcoming new employees and helping them settle in.
- You are the point of contact for all employees regarding recruitment-related matters.
- You participate in recruitment-related projects.
Human Resources Administration
- You answer telephone calls and emails for the department.
- You are responsible for the day-to-day administrative management of staff and the monitoring of files.
- You manage absences and ensure that supporting documents are received.
- You are responsible for managing third-party subscriptions.
- You organise medical appointments for the employees concerned.
- You will participate in the preparation and follow-up of HR team meetings.
- You provide reliable and up-to-date data necessary for the proper management of ASD Brussels.
- You update administrative documents and carry out filing and archiving.
- You will provide backup for certain specific HR administrative tasks, as well as payroll backup.
Profile and skills
Required profile
- Have at least a degree in bachelor in Human Resources or Law and/or equivalent experience
- One recruitment experience is an asset
Required skills and knowledge
- Have a good general knowledge of HR matters
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office suite)
- Organisation and rigour in complying with procedures and data management quality standards
- Ability to analyse, synthesise and focus on solutions
- Written and oral communication and writing skills in French
- Ability to act as a point of contact and build trusting relationships with team leaders and staff members
- Ability to provide reliable and up-to-date data for effective service management
