La Federation de l'Aide et des Soins à Domicile (FASD) is a non-profit organisation.
It federates and supports 9 ASD centres active in French- and German-speaking Belgium.
- It coordinates, represents and defends the sector in dealings with the public authorities.
- It also contributes its expertise by working to improve the quality, consistency and recognition of the work carried out in the field.
Our ASD are essential to home care: they support people whose autonomy changes as a result of age, illness or disability, so that they can continue to live at home in the best possible conditions.
Our mission
- Our mission is to unite, represent and support regional DHAs in their day-to-day work, so that they can concentrate on what's most important: well-being in the home.
- We defend the interests of DHAs and their teams in dealings with public bodies, institutional partners and other players in home help and care. We work closely with the political authorities, mutual insurance companies and professionals in the field to advance our sector, in the interests of beneficiaries and teams.
- We also provide administrative, logistical, legal, IT, communications, HR and training support to strengthen the day-to-day running of the DSAs. We also develop projects that help to enhance their resources, skills and know-how.
Our values
We understand the importance of effective, personalised support.
We make home support our priority.
Our values are built around this idea
Each person we work with is unique. We offer them respect, attentiveness and dignity by recognising their uniqueness, their choices and their vulnerabilities.
Over and above our professional gestures, our benevolence is evident in every glance and every word, demonstrating our sincere attention to their emotions and needs.
Our skills and ethics are the foundation of our rigorous, high-quality support.
Being present, reliable and dedicated is the promise we make to our customers.
We move forward together, teams, families and partners, sharing responsibility and mutual support.
Thanks to the richness and complementarity of our professions, together we build a comprehensive, coherent response that promotes well-being in the home.
We place the dignity of each person at the heart of our support, whatever their age or situation.
For us, respecting each individual is a matter of course. Respect is our compass for building well-being in the home.
Our vision
At FASD, we believe that it is possible and necessary to offer home support that is profoundly human, accessible and supportive.
We aspire to a society where everyone, whatever their situation, can live at home in comfort and integrity, facilitated by caring and competent professionals.
Our vision is based on
- a holistic approach to each person's reality, choices and pace
- close collaboration between each department, essential for meeting complex and changing needs
- the defence of a non-commercial model that puts the quality of the link and the service above all else
- a desire for recognition for professionals in the sector
Beneficiaries, professionals, partners and institutions, together we can build well-being at home on a model that is fairer, more humane and more sustainable.
Our history
The FASD co-constructs well-being at home by supporting DHAs so that they can offer home help and care to people who need it.
